When I’m “not being a therapist”, or managing my teletherapy practice, I am probably somewhere in my garden, or near the water.
I believe we are all doing the best we can with what we have. And in many ways, many of us have been set up to struggle without the tools, support, and understanding we actually need to thrive. I know how life-changing it can be to actually. get. support. I also know how hard it can be to find a provider, get in the room, and locate someone with the right specialization.
My approach is direct, engaged, affirming, and relational. I use humor, occasional profanity, and limited self-disclosure when appropriate. I work well with people who want a therapist who is thoughtful and human — someone who will not just nod along, but will help them look closely, work honestly, and move toward meaningful change.
I specialize in working with adults who are ready to do the work and be challenged. Many of the people I work with are navigating executive dysfunction, shame, disconnection from self or others, sexuality-related concerns, communication struggles, identity-related stress, or long-standing unhelpful patterns. I especially enjoy working with queer and neurodivergent adults, as well as clients in polyamorous, kinky, or otherwise nontraditional relationship structures.
My clinical work sits at the intersection of neurodivergence, trauma, sexual health, shame, and relationships. I offer a boutique, out-of-network practice for adults in Maryland and Virginia, with services available in person and virtually.
